Youtube Statistics: What do the Letters Mean?

Question: What do the Letters Mean in Youtube Statistics?
Answer: The letters don't seem to mean anything in particular.

As a youtube partner, I am constantly trying to figure out new ways to promote my videos and get them to more audiences. That means I am making more money along the way. If you look under your video while watching your video on the youtube.com site, then you will see a series of tabs. One of them is labeled Statistics and Data.

Youtube is giving video publishers a way to understand how each video is being viewed by its audience. What you can do is learn the ways your video gets viewed and make sure you are doing everything you can to ensure that your next videos get shared in the same places. For instance a lot of views seem to come from Subscribers to your youtube channel, having your videos embedded on other websites, sharing the Youtube link on Facebook, and Youtube search. Try and contact websites that have content similar to your videos and ask them to embed 1 or 2 in their blog or on their site. Maybe they can even review it for you. This is a great way I drive traffic to my videos. I also use the autoshare feature which allows me to share my video uploads on twitter, google reader, and facebook straight from Youtube.

Here are some of the ways the videos can be seen by the online video viewing public. Post a comment with more if you have them.

A: First Embedded Link
B: First referral from a subscriber module
C: First view on a channel page
D: First embedded on - www.facebook.com
E: Other/Viral
F: First referral from YouTube - /user/*YourName
G: First view from a mobile device
H: First referral from - www.facebook.com
I: First referral from YouTube search
J: First featured video view
K: First referral from related video
L: First referral from YouTube - Homepage
